外国人にも日本人にも役に立つ入門書と思う。

This book is for beginners of traditional Japanese tea ceremony. It has the Japanese original on one page and the English translation on the facing page. The contents include traditional tea room, tools, types of teas, manner, tea cakes, with beautiful pictures and simple explanation, which are useful to understand the tea ceremony. It is compiled under the supervision of Ms. Tadenuma, the grand master of “Yamato-enshuryu” party. There is a part stating relation between tea ceremony and religion, which may be helpful for understanding Japanese culture to Western people. This book is unique and very interesting.
