犬の十戒、（犬の飼い主のための十戒）
The ten commandmendmente of Dog Ownership
1,My life is likely to fifteen years.Any separation
from you will be painful for me.Remember that befor
you buy me.
私の一生は、たった１０年から１５年ぐらいしかありま
ん。
ほんの少しの時間でも貴方と離れていることは辛いのです。
私のことを飼う前に、どうかそのことを考えてください。
２、Give me time to understand what you want of me.
私が「貴方に望んでいること」を理解できるようになるまで時間を与えて下さい。
３、Place you trust in me it,s crucial to mywell being.
私を信頼して下さい、それだけで、私は幸せなのです。
４、Do not be angurry at me for long and do not lock
me up as punishment You have your work.

私を長い時間叱ったり、罰として閉じ込めたりしないで下さい。貴方にも仕事や楽しみがありますし、友達だっているでしょう、でも私には貴方だけしかいないのです。
５、Taik to me sometimes.Even if do not understand.
your words,I understand your voice when speaking to
me.
時には私に話しかけて下さい。たとえその時貴方の言葉を理解出来なくても、私は貴方の声で理解しています。
６、Be aware that howeever you treat me,I wiil never
forget it.
貴方がどれだけ私かまってくれたこと、そのことは永遠に忘れないでしょう。
７、Rimenmber before you hit,me that I have teeth that
could easily crush tha bones of your have.
but that I choose not to bite you.
私を叩く前に思い出して下さい。私には貴方の手の骨を簡単に噛み砕くことの出来る、歯があるのに、
私は貴方を噛まないように決めている事を。
８、Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obsti
nate or lazy,ask yourself if samething might be
bothering me. perhaps I am not getting the right
food,or I been out in the sun too iong,or my hea
rt is getting old and weak.
言うことを聞かない、頑固だ、怠け者だと叱る前に、
私がそうなる原因はないかと、あなた自身に問いかけてみて下さい。
適切な食事を与えなかったのでは。
日中太陽の照りつける外に長い時間置き去りにしたかも。
９、Take care of me when I get old.
私が年をとってもどうか世話をして下さい。
貴方も同じように年をとるのです。
１０、Go with me on diffcult journeys.Naver say.
I can not bear to watch it, or
Let it happen in my absence.
Everything is easier for me if you arethere.
Remamber,I love you.
最後の旅立ちの時には、そばにいて私を見送って下さい。
「見ていると辛いから」とか「私の居ないところで逝かせてあげて」なんて言わないで欲しいです。
貴方が側にいてくるだけで、私はどんなことでも安らかかに
受け入れられます。
そして・・・どうか忘れないで下さい、私が貴方を愛して
いることを。
